OpenCode
MemIndex records prompts, tool results, and replies from OpenCode. It adds each project's past notes to that project's requests. It also adds memory search.
Install OpenCode first. Then run:
npx memindex@latest install --ide opencode --runtime worker
Follow Install for the shared setup. Restart OpenCode and begin a new session.
The plugin's recording, saved context, and built-in search use the local MemIndex worker. Keep that service running. A direct server connection for these plugin features is coming.
The installer places the MemIndex plugin in OpenCode's plugins folder. It adds a local memory search connection to opencode.json. The default configuration folder is ~/.config/opencode. If you set OPENCODE_CONFIG_DIR, it uses that folder instead.
The plugin supports OpenCode's two plugin formats. The installer checks the installed app to choose the right configuration. If it warns that OpenCode is too old to load the plugin, update OpenCode and run the installer again.
After a small task, check the MemIndex viewer for new notes. Then ask OpenCode to find a decision from that task. The plugin supplies a memindex_search tool, as well as the separate memory search connection.
Tool result text sent for recording is limited to its first 1,000 characters.
The plugin brings in memory for the current project. It refreshes that memory after OpenCode shortens a long conversation. It does not need one shared memory block in the global AGENTS.md file.
If installation reports that memory search is incomplete, rerun the main installer to restore missing files. If it reports an old MemIndex block left in OpenCode's global AGENTS.md, fix the file's permissions and rerun installation. That old block can otherwise appear in every project.
