While you work
Something
clicks.
A decision, a fix, a path that didn’t work. The small things that make the next step possible.
The reason we’re here
We use AI coding agents all day. Starting every session by explaining the project again felt like losing the thread of our own work.
The decisions were good. The discoveries mattered. We wanted them to stay with us.
While you work
A decision, a fix, a path that didn’t work. The small things that make the next step possible.
When the session ends
Short notes keep the reason with the change. A project becomes more than a collection of files.
Next time you begin
The right memory returns. Your agent picks up with the context that got you here.
MemIndex is our answer to a familiar frustration: doing good work together, then having to explain it all again tomorrow.
At Imogen Labs, we work with coding agents every day. A useful discovery can be a single sentence: why we chose one approach, what failed, or what to try next. Losing that sentence means repeating the investigation. MemIndex keeps it with the project, so the next conversation starts with something worth knowing.
We make MemIndex for people who want to keep that continuity without making note-taking another job. Keep your memory on your own machine, or let us host it across your machines. Search by meaning to find the reason behind a line of code from weeks ago. Open the local viewer to see every session and note. Use private tags to keep things out of memory, and delete a note or a whole project whenever you want.
Your choice of agent should not decide what you remember. MemIndex works with Claude Code, Codex, Hermes Agent, Copilot CLI, Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity, Kimi, OpenCode, Pi, OpenClaw, Grok and more. Explore the integrations to find your way in.
The things we care about
A false note can become a false memory. With hosting, we write your notes on our server using a model we choose and test for accuracy. Remembering the work correctly is the point.
Run MemIndex on your own machine. One line installs it; the memory you build is yours to inspect and manage.
Hosting pays for the care behind shared memory: notes written for you, one memory across your machines, a private search link for MCP clients, and nightly backups. Claude Desktop can search the same memory as your coding agents.
Built by Imogen Labs
MemIndex is for keeping momentum: fewer repeated explanations, more of the decisions and discoveries that make your work yours.
