Your agent
Antigravity CLI
MemIndex records work from Antigravity CLI, the agy command. It supplies past notes before the agent runs and adds memory search tools.
Install Antigravity CLI first. Then run:
npx memindex@latest install --ide antigravity
Follow the shared choices in Install. Restart agy after installation.
MemIndex adds its rules to ~/.gemini/config/hooks.json. It records each tool call once, your prompt once per turn, and agent replies. MemIndex does not hook the step before a tool runs, so Antigravity still asks before running tools as it normally does. It requests a summary when the session stops.
It also adds a memory section to ~/.gemini/GEMINI.md and a rules file at ~/.agents/rules/memindex-context.md. Search settings go into both Antigravity configuration locations used by the installer. Existing unrelated entries are kept.
This connection targets the command line app. The presence of an Antigravity desktop app alone does not prove that these rules will run there.
Check the connection with:
npx memindex antigravity-cli status
Then do a small task in a new session. Open the MemIndex viewer and confirm that notes appear. Ask the agent to find a decision from that task.
If recording fails after an older installation, run the install command again. It replaces old MemIndex hook layouts and removes the old pre-tool hook, which made Antigravity run every tool without asking. If the installer warns about spaces in a program path, use a location without spaces; agy may split those paths incorrectly.
To remove the connection:
npx memindex antigravity-cli uninstall
Restart agy afterwards. See Troubleshooting for local service checks.
