Your agent

OMP

OMP means Oh My Pi. MemIndex records OMP prompts and tool results. It adds recent OMP notes to later requests in the project.

Set up

Install OMP first. Then run:

npx memindex install --ide omp --runtime worker
npx memindex start

The installer places one file at ~/.omp/agent/hooks/pre/memindex.ts. OMP loads it at the next session start.

If you use PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR, the installer uses that agent folder instead.

Use it

Work normally. MemIndex records prompts in order, then records the tool results that belong to them. It asks for a summary when the session closes or switches.

MemIndex uses the current project folder to group the work. Recent context can be cached for up to a minute. A new note may not appear immediately.

Tool result text is limited to its first 1,000 characters.

Check it

Run a small tool task in OMP. Let MemIndex process the work, then search for a distinctive phrase:

npx memindex search "your search phrase"

Use these commands if the work does not appear:

npx memindex status
npx memindex doctor

If MemIndex cannot be reached, OMP continues working. New recording and context may be missing while the connection is down.

This adapter connects to the local worker. See Install and Troubleshooting.
